Back in undergrad, I’ll never forget the cool fall night after my first Organic Chemistry exam. I’ve never felt so much fear as I did walking into the exam hall and walking out.

But the worst part came later. I started hearing how many students had dropped the class and even changed their career plans. Some were pre-med students, future chemists, or just unlucky people forced to take it against their will.

One challenging class had them doubting their path, even though their passion for their goals was clear.

That thought stayed with me.

How could one class, no matter how tough, make someone second-guess what they worked so hard to achieve?

When I became a tutor, I made it my mission to make sure that didn’t happen. Organic Chemistry is hard, no doubt about it. But is it hard because the material is impossible?

No.

It’s like learning a new language, but you’re expected to master it in just 15 weeks or less.

It’s not just about memorizing facts. It’s about learning how to ask the right questions and how to study in a way that works for you.

That’s where I come in.

Who Am I?

I’ve been a tutor for over five years, and Organic Chemistry has always been my true passion. While I’ve tutored courses like General Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics, nothing makes me happier than sitting down to help a student with Organic Chemistry. Why? Because it’s all about problem-solving, and I absolutely love that.

I’m an Ohio State alum with a degree in Cellular/Molecular Neuroscience. When I started undergrad as a pre-med student, I took Organic Chemistry and something unexpected happened...

I fell in love with it. (Not the typical thing many students say)

This past year, I made the leap to become a full-time tutor and started Catalyst Chemistry. Let's just say it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. Through Catalyst Chemistry, I’ve created short videos to help students worldwide bridge the gap between fear and success. But my real passion is still one-on-one tutoring.

What Is My Teaching Style?

These sessions aren’t just me lecturing for an hour. While I’ll give short explanations when needed, the best way to learn Organic Chemistry is by actively working through problems together.

During our sessions, we’ll dive into practice problems and tackle challenges as a team. If you get stuck, I won’t just hand you the answer. Instead, I’ll guide you with questions to help you figure out the next steps. This method helps you think critically and truly understand the material.

You can also form a small group for the session to help split the cost. If you decide to do so, please take full advantage of the tutoring portal so I can help everyone!

Monthly and Semester Tutoring

These are the popular packages designed for students who want consistent support and more time to prepare for success in Organic Chemistry.

• Monthly Tutoring Package: Includes 4 sessions (about 1 per week for a month) which is perfect for exam prep!
• Semester Tutoring Package: Includes 15 sessions (about 1 per week for the semester) which is perfect for continuous support throughout the semester!

With both packages, you’ll have full access to the Tutoring Portal, where you can schedule sessions, share notes, and upload practice materials. Plus, with more time together, I can help you dive deep into exam preparation to boost your confidence.

As a regular student, you’ll have the option to:

Before we begin, you’ll need to complete a short application below. This step ensures our schedules align and that tutoring is the right fit for you. From there, you'll schedule a 30-minute introductory meeting, and flexible payment plans are available for your convenience.

If you’re looking for multiple sessions per week or if your university runs on a weird schedule, I’d be happy to create a custom tutoring package just for you. These packages are tailored to fit your unique needs while still including all the perks of the Monthly and Semester Tutoring Packages.
